Heroes on Horseback

Circle of Hope Therapeutic Riding is proud to be sponsoring a series of complimentary horseback riding sessions with Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center. We have been hosting hospitalized Iraq war veterans who have undergone amputation(s) and are now going through physical and occupational therapy. Working with these soldiers is a powerful reminder of the ravages of war in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to help. We feel a need to do whatever we can to help the soldiers adjust. It is our hope that this type of therapy will help the soldiers in their rehabilitation, help them to realize that they can resume normal living, and help them to realize that they have viable options, disabled or not.
